Assembly, Integration, and Testing

Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) is responsible for ensuring that all the different subsystems will properly integrate with one another. The integration of the satellite must be very methodical and well-documented to ensure no errors are made.

Integrating and assembling the satellite subsystems requires precision and preparation. Before assembly, the individual subsystems must be tested to ensure they are operational. During the integration process, the subsystems are tested as a group to ensure full functionality.

The AIT subsystem is also responsible for the construction of the spacecraft, both prototype versions for testing and the actual flight vehicle. Testing procedures include environmental tests and day in the life testing to ensure all subsystems are functioning properly as a whole.
