M-SAT currently has two missions with payloads. The first is MR and MRS SAT’S stereoscopic system and the second is M3‘s experimental thruster. Both were mission concepts suggested to the team to expand on and learn more information for third parties.

MR SAT’s stereoscopic system will allow a 3-D reconstruction of MRS SAT, which could have potential importance when inspection-type missions are being developed.

The Multi-Mode Mission M3 project will integrate an experimental thruster, being developed by the Missouri S&T Advanced Plasma Lab in partnership with Dr. Steven Berg of Froberg Aerospace, into a 3U CubeSat structure in order to collect and assess in-flight performance data.

Pictured above is a diagram of the stereoscopic imaging system of MR & MRS SAT.
